Board Development
We work with Boards to make sure the “nuts and bolts” of good Board practice and Governance are integrated with the “soft stuff” of people and relationships. Our reputation goes before us and we have experience and skills in supporting Boards that are finding life a little tough and challenging, as well as supporting Boards who feel they are doing okay but simply want to make sure they are reaching their potential.
Of course, we work closely with Boards in the first instance, to define what it is that will work best for them, but we know that at this level, there is a need to be flexible, be willing and able to think in the moment and adjust to circumstances, and to foster positive relationships that enable healthy and robust challenge.
Leadership Development
Leadership Development consists of many different flavours. So of course it has to be the right format, content and style for you. We can take a programmed approach and shape an entire development programme to run at regular intervals over a limited period of time, with defined content. We can also be incredibly flexible and organic, working in partnership with your leadership team to design each development session, its style and contents as “in-the-moment” as it needs to be. You may find that Action Learning Sets complement the core content of the leadership programme, providing a way for leaders to work on salient and real projects, applying their new knowledge and testing out new skills. We often find that 1-1 coaching supports our Leadership Development programmes too.
Team Development
Teams can be the “engine room” of business performance. Structures, processes and procedures can be in place, but team relationships and a focus on task need to be aligned to be sure of maximising potential. Team support might be centred on building a new team, gaining the focus on task, gaining understanding and knowledge of each other. Or the support might be for an established team that needs to take a step back to re-focus on purpose and relationships. Tailored support is crucial when designing team support, and Gold holds an excellent reputation for the way in which teams are facilitated and coached to navigate the workplace context.
Coaching
Sometimes 1-1 coaching can provide the best space to enable growth and foster development for people. Our coaches have thousands of hours of coaching provision between them, and psychology underpins all coaching practice. We recommend a short call initially (no payment), to see if coaching will provide a suitable path through a particular challenge, and also to make sure we have an individual style of coach who will suit your needs. Only then can you make that personal commitment.
